Google Penguin update-A revolution or just another update.

About Google Penguin

Google Penguin was first announced in 24, April, 2012. The main aim of Google Penguin is to pull down the search engine ranking of websites which are using black-hat techniques and also the techniques which are not accepted by Google and provide good ranking to the sites which are working on a writer format as per Google guidelines.

Effect of Google Penguin on the Websites

When there was no such update like google penguin, all SEOs and webmasters were working on a fixed pattern and where following all the wrong techniques such as keyword stuffing, duplicate content, link building, cloaking etc. hence, the search results were also used to get effected. But when Google launched its update Google Penguin 1.1 on May 25, 2012 all those websites which were using black hat techniques got badly affected.

After Penguin 1.1, Google launched the next version named Google Penguin 2.0 on May 22, 2013.  The single aim of this update was to serve a better and more relevant result to the Google user. Google now give no importance to the below mention points:

•Duplicate content or poor quality sites
•Irrelevant sites based on a irrelevant topics.
•Paid links
•Keyword rich WebPages or keyword stuffing.
•Links where the anchor text is overly optimized
